Baptisms and Baking

May 24, 2016

So sorry for writing a day late! There was no internet here yesterday so we weren´t able to write! This was a little crazy of a week! The elders were teaching a boy Genaro and his sister Delfina and were preparing them to be baptized but they felt like we needed to teach Delfina. So we took her on as our investigator and taught her everyday last week to see if she was ready to be baptized. We´ve also been teaching their mom, Gabriela and their aunt, Maira and their uncle, Julian and his daughter Julietta. Seriously Hna. Lahmann and I absolutely adore this family! They are all so ready to hear the gospel! Delfina and Genaro were baptized this last Saturday and it was so special. This family is already so special to us. The spirit was so strong!

The Hnas. lideres came to 25 de mayo for a day this week and that was so fun! They´d never been to our area so they came to work with us. I got to work with Hna. Larson this time and we were able to contact some old investigators which went really well. They got to see how sad our pension is. There are so many problems with a lot of things. Our toilet leaks and we found some mold on the walls and we were having trouble with ants. They started to build their ant hills in our hallway! Also our kitchen is freezing! Like we become popsicles during studying. So the next day after the hermanas had left we had some elders come from the mission office to our pension. They bought us a heater for the kitchen and it already makes a huge difference! Hna. Lahmann and I are super grateful for our pension but it´s a little crazy too.

The sun finally came out for a day or too! It was so beautiful, I had forgotten what that was like to have the sun out. Today is overcast again though. This is the last week of the transfer, I find out on sunday whether I stay in 25 de mayo or with Hna. Lahmann. I really hope I do though!
